4/10/2011 - Our Covenant Relationship with God's Presence

4/10/2011 - Our Covenant Relationship with God's Presence
Most of us know from firsthand experience the conditional terms of most relationships.  We often find ourselves striving to stay in the “good graces” of another’s presence to maintain the positive benefits of that particular relationship.  Unfortunately, we then translate that behavior into our relationship with God.  Only true revelation of our covenant with Him through Jesus Christ releases us from the mentality of acceptance based upon our behavior.  How amazing is a covenant that always remains intact and in force once we have received imparted righteousness through the work of the cross.  Understanding that God’s presence is an immutable benefit of our covenant will enable us to appropriate all other promises offered.  If God was willing to sacrifice His Son when we were yet sinners,  how intense is His desire now to be ever present in our lives once we are covered by the precious blood of His Son.  Oh, the peace of promised presence…that is something to proclaim!
