In the book of Philippians, Paul makes such an outrageous and controversial statement in comparison to American thinking that I decided to do a word study just to confirm that the translators were accurately portraying what Paul was suggesting. Paul said, 

…I seek the fruit that abounds to your account (Philippians 4:17).

Where's Your "But"?

No one goes through life without having the opportunity to be victimized in some way, either externally or internally. Jesus was victimized by Jewish leaders who wanted to get rid of Him even though He hadn’t done anything wrong. He allowed the external victimization in order to achieve our victory through the cross. The leaders of the day meant the crucifixion for evil, but God meant it for good. That’s how the way we view our circumstances affects whether we are victimized or victorious.
