Twins

Posted in [Youth] By Kaylee Gibson

Today I was talking to a friend of mine about having a twin. We were talking about people who looked or acted just like us. When he said he couldn’t really think of anyone for himself, I told him that as far as personality went that God was his twin. It was after we discussed this a little more that I realized that when people say “Represent Christ the way He wants to be represented” or “WWJD,” what they are really saying is we should be God’s twin. We want our personalities to be identical to God’s because that is the way He made us. After discovering this brilliant new look on this old concept, I decided that this was my new aspiration:  to become God’s twin.

Every day we can get a little closer to being just like God in our thoughts and ways, and that is what I’m trying to do. We shouldn’t focus on the ways that we are different from God and how we mess up. We need to focus on what we can change to make ourselves be God’s twin every day. God can help us change to be like Him too. He’s quite the expert!

Kaylee, a sophomore, is one of our youth members.
